A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING EXHIBIT IIB" OF CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 3153 ADOPTING
SALARY PLAN FOR THE CITY FOR 1973-74.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby
I' resolve as follows:
That the salary plan adopted by Exhibit "B" of
City Council Resolution No. 3153 is hereby amended by the
addition of the job classification, LIBRARY ADMINISTRATIVE
ASSISTANT, Salary Range 28, as set forth on Exhibit ''A" attached
and incorporated herein.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a meeting of the City
Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held September 18
1973, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dunne, Lewis and Chase
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen McComas and Frazee.

Performs varied and responsible staff work for the City Librarian involving personnel finance, purchasing, budgeting and statistics; and other work as required,
>l. Supervises trains, schedules and assigns duties of library clerical personnel.
2. Prepares and maintains personnel records and forms.
3. Assists City Librarian in selection of clerical employees.
4. Verifies and approves statements and bills.
5. Keeps records of budget expenditures.
6. Assists in preparation of budget.
7. Prepares requisitions and purchase orders for payment of i nvoi ces.
8. Gathers statistics, information and prepares reports.
9. Order and distribute library supplies.
10. Maintain purchasing information file.
11. Maintain library calendar of events.
12. Prepares correspondence for City Librarian's signature.
13. In absence of City Librarian, assumes duties of office manager.
Prepare clear and accurate reports and financial statements
Make arithmetical calculations rai th speed and accuracy; Establish and maintain cooperative working relations with others; Type at a speed of 70 words a minute from clear copy; Conduct official contacts compatible with good public relations techniques ; Employ good judgment and make sound decisions in accordance with established library procedures and policies.
