RESOLUTION NO. 3227

A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ANNOUNCING FINDINGS AND DECISION ON A CHANGE OF ZONE FROM R-A-10,000 TO P-C (Planned Community) ON APPROXIMATELY 4.4 ACRES OF LAND, GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF ELM AVENUE (EXTENDED), EASTERLY OF EL CAMINO REAL. (Larwin-San Diego, Inc.)
1 WHEREAS, on September 11, 1973, a duly advertised Public

Hearing was held before the Planning Commission in the manner
prescribed by law to consider a change of zone from R-A-10,000
to P-C (Planned Community) on approximately 4.4 acres of land,
generally located on the north corner of Elm Avenue (extended),
easterly of E7 Camino Real, and further described as a
portion of Lot "J" in Rancho Agua Hedionda, and more particularly
described as:
That portion of Lot IIJ" in Rancho Agua Hedionda, in the County of San Diego, State of California, according to the partition map thereof No. 823, filed in the office of the County Recorder of said San Diego County on November 16, 1886.

WHEREAS, at the conclusion of said hearing, the Planning
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, adopted Resolution No. 954
recommending said zone change which is herewith referred to
and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Director has determined that the
potential environmental impacts of this project have been
adequately covered in the Environmental Impact Report that has
been approved for the Larwin-Tanglewood project, and this
application should be classed as an on-going project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the findings of the Planning Commission contained

n the aforementioned Resolution No. 954 constitute the findings

3. That the approval of the proposed change of zone
:lassiffcation is necessary to carry out the general purpose
If Title 21 of the Municipal Code.
4. That the City Council of the City of Carlsbad intends
to adopt an ordinance to effectuate the proposed change of
zone.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 2nd
