A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
TKE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN
FOR 335+ ACRES OF PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED IN THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD AND EL CAMINO REAL
BY CHANGING THE DESIGNATED LAND USE FROM
ACRE TO PLANNED INDUSTRIAL (PALOMAR
AIRPORT INDUSTRIAL PARK).
RESIDENTIAL DENSITY 3-7 FAMILIES PER NET
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Planning Commission did on
the 11th day of December, 1973, hold a duly advertised public
hearing as prescribed by law, to consider an amendment to the
General Plan as follows: "Adopting Land Use Amendment No. 7
(Land Use Portion) of the City of Carlsbad General Plan, specify-
ing that a residential density of 3 to 7 families per net acre
be changed to show a Planned Industrial designation. This public
hearing was continued to the meeting of December 11, 1973, at
which time testimony was heard on this Amendment, on land gener-
ally located in the southwest quadrant of the intersection of
Palomar Airport Road and El Camino Real, as shown on Exhibit "A"
attached, and more particularly described as:
All that portion of Lot "G" of Rancho Agua Hedionda
in the County of San Diego, State of California,
according to Map thereof No. 823, filed in the
Office of the County Recorder of said County, November 16, 1896 .It
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission adopted Resolution No.
997 recommending said amendment to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the applicant has met the requirements of the
"City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1972"
and an Environmental Impact Report was filed and discussed at a
duly noticed public hearing held by the Planning Commission and
City Council and was approved as presented; and
WHEREAS, on December 17th , 1973, the City Council
held a duly advertised public hearing to consider said amendment;
and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing the City Council received
the recommendations, objections, protests, and comments
individuals and parties who desired to be heard;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Coun

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set
forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 997 constitute the
findings of the City Council.

4. That the Land Use Element of the General Plan is

Density, 3 to 7 families per net acre, to Planned Industrial, for
the property described as follows:
All that portion of Lot "S" of Rancho Agua Hedionda in the County of San Diego, State of California, according to Map thereof No. 823, filed in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, November 16, 1896.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council on the 17th day of December , 1973, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES : Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee.
NOES : None.
ABSENT: None.
