A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, REGARDING THE CURRENT POWER SHORTAGE.
i WHEREAS, the current power shortage is likely to become
more acute with the next few months, and even more critical in
the future; and
WHEREAS, it is apparent the current resources are insufficient
to bring about a reversal of this trend; and

WHEREAS, the United States must seriously consider the
advisability of becoming independent of foreign fuel resources
at the easrlies possible time; and
WHEREAS, the California Coastal Zone Conservation Commission

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council on the 2nd day of January, 1974, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee.
NOES: None.
