RESOLUTION NO. 3794.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA ENDORSING THE POSITION
OF THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES REGARDING
FEDERAL REVENUE SHARING.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad will have received
$1,034.588 in federal revenue sharing funds by June 30, 1976;
and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has spent or encumbered to
spend in capital expenditures $858,600 for Public Safety,
Environmental Protection, Public Transportation, Libraries,
Social Services for Poor and Aged, Finance Administration,
Multi-Purpose Usage and Housing and Community Development;
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has been able to spend or
encumber to spend $175,988 in operating and maintenance for
public safety, public transportation, (streets), and social
services to the poor and aged: and
WHEREAS, federal revenue sharing has enabled the City
of Carlsbad to implement programs at an earlier date and restore
programs that had been eliminated due to inflationary costs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Carlsbad
endorse the position of the National League of Cities in
requesting the continuance of the federal- revenue sharing
program for the common good of all citizens in every section of
the country.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
