RESOLUTION NO. 5526
A RESOLUTION OF TBE CITY COUNCTL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
A GIFT OF MONEY FOR THE HAPPINESS OF THE CHILDREN OF CARLSBAD IN MEMORY OF JOHN
KENNETH COX.
WHER,EAS, Miss Beryl E. Cox wishes to present the City of
Carlsbad the sum of $500.00 for the happiness of the children
of Carlsbad in memory of her brother, John Kenneth Cox; and
WHEREAS, Miss Cox requests that a Ken Cox Memorial Fund
be established for possible future contributions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this gift
pursuant to Sections 37354 and 37355 of the California Code;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to establish a Ken Cox
Memorial Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
Carlsbad as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That the City Council accepts the gift of money for
the happiness of the children on behalf of all the
citizens of the City of Carlsbad.
That the City Council causes a Ken Cox Memorial
Fund to be established.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regqlar meeting of the
City Cauncil held the 5th day of September , 1978, by the
following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Packard, Skotnicki, Anear, Lewis and
NOES : None Councilwoman Casler
ABSENT: None
