RESOLUTION NO. 6877
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE LAND USE PLAN
PORTION OF THE AGUA HEDIONDA LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad City Council did conduct duly noticed
1ubli.c hearings to receive public testimony on this matter on
lay 4, 1982, and on May 18, 1982; and
WHEREAS, during all proceedings involved in the preparation
ind processing of said plan the City has provided maximum
)pportunity for the public as well as all affected persons and
mtities to participate; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Public Resources Code section 30500 the
:ity of Carlsbad is required to prepare a local coastal program
Ior that portion of the coastal zone lying within its
iurisdicat ion: and
WHEREAS, in making such determinations and formulating such
1olicies the City Council has been fully apprised of the
requirements, policies, and goals of the California Coastal Act
If 1976 and has made such determinations and formulated such
iolicies in full conformity with the requirements, policies,
ind goals of that Act;
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
:ity of Carlsbad as follows:
1. That the Land Use Plan of the Aqua Hedionda local
coastal program consisting of text, maps, and written
policies, is approved and adopted.
2. That the Land Use plan is consistent with existing
specific plans in the area effected by the Aqua Hedionda
Land Use Plan, and incorporates by reference the
provisions of Carlsbad Specific Plans 12; 31; 101; 144;
144(A); 144(B); 144(C),

3. That the Land Use Plan
of the Coastal Act and policies of the Coasta
fulfills the policies and goals
is in conformity with the
Act of 1976.
4. That the Land Use Plan and the local coastal program of which it is a part are intended to be carried out in a
manner fully in conformity with the Coastal Act.
PASSED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the said City
:ouncil held on the 18th day of May , 1982 and
)y the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Council Mers Casler, hear, Lewis and Kulchin
