RESOLUTION NO. 6894
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT
OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNA-
TIONS FOR FOUR AREAS OF THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN
GPA-Gl(C); GPA-GI(F); GPA-Gl(G) AND GPA-GI(H). -e_-- --------
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on May 12, 1982
hold duly noticed public hearings as prescribed by law to
consider amendments to the Land Use Element of the General Plan
GPA-61(C); GPA-Gl(F); GPA-Gl(G) and GPA-Gl(H); and
WHEREAS, the Planning Director and the Planning
Commission have determined that said amendments will not have
significant impacts on the environment and Negative Declarations
have been prepared and filed in satisfaction of the requirements
of the City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of
1980 and the California Environmental Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, THE City Council did on June 1, 1982 hold a
duly advertised public hearing to consider said amendments and
at said time received the recommendations, objections, protests
and comments of all interested persons desiring to be heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after considering all
proposed changes to the Land Use Element of the General Plan,
directed the City Attorney to return with appropriate documents
to allow the City Council to vote on the changes individually as
a part of one single amendment to the Land Use Element of the
General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
A. That the above recitations are true and correct.

B. That this resolution and resolution no. 6895

constitute a single amendment to the Land Use Element of the
General Plan.
C. That the findings of the Planning Commission
forth in Planning Commission Resolutions Nos. 1948 (GPA-6
1950 (GPA-Gl(G)); 1952 (GPA-61(H)) and 1953 (GPA-Gl(F))
constitute the findings of the City Council.
D. That the Land Use Element of the General Plan is
amended as follows:
1. GPA-61 (C) : Change the land use designation
from Residential/Low-Medium Density to Residential/Medium-High
Density on property generally located on the north side of
Alicante Road, east of Altiva Place, as shown on the map marked
Exhibit 1, attached hereto and made a part hereof.
2. GPA-61 (F) : Change the land use designation
from Recreational-Commercial to a combination district of
Planned Industrial and Office on property generally located on
the north side of Palomar Airport Road approximately one mile
east of El Camino Real, as shown on the map marked Exhibit 3,
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
3. GPA-Gl(C): Change the land use designation to
revise the boundaries between land use designations of
Residential/Medium Density, Residential/Low-Medium Density and
Open Space on property generally located in northwest La Costa
north of Alga Road and east of El Camino Real, as shown on the
map marked Exhibit 4, attached hereto and made a part hereof.

4. GPA-61(H): Change the land use designation
from Open Space to Residential/Medium Density on property
generally located on the west side of Rancho Santa Fe Road
approximately 100 feet north of La Costa Meadows Drive, as shown
on the map marked Exhibit 5, attached hereto and made a part
hereof .
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
I the Carlsbad City Council held on the
1982 by the following vote; to wit:
