RESOLUTION NO. 6984
Police Officers' Association have failed to reach agreement
concerning the salary and other terms and conditions of em-
ployment for Fiscal Year 1982-1983; and
WHEREAS, such failure to reach agreement has resulted
in an impasse and said impasse having been resolved by the
City Council under the authority of Section 3.48.130 of the
Carlsbad 14unicipal Code;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the

AND DIRECTING CERTAIN SALARY COMPENSATION
CHANGES AFFECTING EMPLOYEES REPRESENTED
BY THE CARLSBAD POLICE OFFICERS' ASSOCIA-
TION.

1. That the above recitations are true and correct;
2. That the City Council authorizes and directs the City
1811 Manager to implement immediately the provisions of the salary
1911 plan for police employees of the city for Fiscal Year 1982-1983

POLICE DEPARTYXNT SALARY SCHEDULE
AUGUST 1, 1982 THRU JUNE 30, 1982
BI/WEEKLY
The bi-weekly salary range for the positions of POLICE CAPTAIN and POLICE LIEUTENANT are
established and administered as follows:
POLICE CAPTAIN 1131-1376 POLICE LIEUTENANT 1017-1236.
The City Manager shall have authority to determine
the salary for each employee within the salary range established for each position. The salary
level within the salary range shall be reviewed annually on the employee's anniversary date. Salary adjustments shall be made at the discre-
tion of the City Manager subject to any limi-
tation or controls imposed by the City Council.
During the 1982-83 fiscal year, no employee shall receive a salary increase in excess of seven
percent except for merit increase on anniversary
dates.
