RESOLUTION NO. 7421
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA DENYING A PROPOSED
AMENDMENT OF THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE CITY'S
GENERAL PLAN - GPA/LU 83-2 - (ROBERTS).
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on October 26,
1983 hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to
consider an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General
Plan GPA/LU 83-2; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has recommended
certification of EIR 83-7 for this project in satisfaction of
the requirements of the City of Carlsbad Environmental
Protection Ordinance of 1980 and the California Environmental
Quality Act; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did on November 15 and
November 22, 1983 hold duly advertised public hearings to
consider a number of amendments to the General Plan and at that
time received the recommendations, objections, protests and
comments of all interested persons desiring to be heard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after considering these and
other proposed changes to the Land Use Element of the General
Plan, directed the City Attotney to return with appropriate
documents to allow the City Council to vote on the changes
individually as part of one single amendment to the Land Use
Element of the General Plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Carlsbad, California as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That this resolution and resolutions no. 7418 ,
7419 , and 7420 , constitute a single amendment to the
Land Use Element of the General Plan.
3. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set
forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2211 do not
constitute the findings of the City Council .
4. That the City Council hereby denies the request of
the Roberts Group for a proposed change in the land use
designation (GPA/LU 83-2) from Residential/Medium RM (4-10) to
Residential/High RH (20-30) on property generally located
immediately south of Palomar Airport Business Park, 1500 feet
west of El Camino Real, as shown on the map marked Exhibit A,
attached hereto and made a part hereof.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on
the 6th day of kcember , 1983, by the following
vote, to wit:
