RESOLUTION NO. 7548
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DELEGATING TO THE
CITY MANAGER THE AUTHORITY ON BEHALF OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD TO SUBMIT APPLICATIONS ON
BEHALF OF THE CITY FOR DISABILITY RETIREMENTS.
(SECTION 21023, GOVERNMENT CODE)
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad, hereinafter referred to as
"Agency", is a contracting agency of the Public Employees' Retire-
ment System;
WHEREAS, the Public Employees' Retirement Law permits a
contracting agency to submit an application to retire an employee
for disability to the Public Employees' Retirement System;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad has deter-
mined that it may delegate authority to submit applications on
behalf of the city to the City Manager pursuant to Government
Code Section 21023 (c) .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad delegates to the City Manager authority to submit
applications on behalf of the city for the disability retirement
of employees to the Public Employees' Retirement System.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the
City of Carlsbad, California, at a regular meeting held on the
3rd day of April , 1984, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Casler, Laris, Kulchin, Chick and Prescott
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
