HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-10-02; City Council; Resolution 77651 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 r o k 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 RESOLUTION NO. 7765 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN TO CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNA- TIONS OF THE CITY'S GENERAL PLAN FROM OPEN SPACE (0-S) TO RECREATION COMMERCIAL (R-C) ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTH SIDE OF FUTURE CANNON ROAD IMMEDIATELY ADJACENT TO THE AGUA HEDIONDA LAGOON WETLAND AREA WITHIN THE KELLY RANCH MASTER PLAN GPA/LU 84-8 - KELLY. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on August 22, 1984 hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plar GPA/LU 84-8; and WHEREAS, the Land Use Planning Manager and the Planning Commission have determined that the amendment will not have any significant impacts on the environment and a Negative Declaratior dated June 6, 1984, has been prepared, filed and approved by the Planning Commission on August 22, 1984, in satisfaction of the requirements of the City of Carlsbad Environmental Protection Ordinance of 1980 and the California Environmental Quality Act; and WHEREAS, the City Council did on September 18, 1984 holc a duly advertised public hearing to consider said amendment and at said time received the recommendations, objections, protests and comments of all interested persons desiring to be heard; and WHEREAS, the City Council after considering the proposec change to the Land Use Element of the General Plan, directed the City Attorney to return with appropriate documents to amend the Land Use Element of the General Plan. /// /// - 'CI; , 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 e 9 1c 11 1E 2( 21 2: 21 2'; 2€ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California as follows: A. That the above recitations are true and correct. B. That the findings of the Planning Commission as set forth in Planning Commission Resolution No. 2334 (GPA/LU 84-8) constitute the findings of the City Council. C. That the Land Use Element of the General Plan is amended as follows: 1. GPA/LU 84-8: Change the land use element designation from Open Space (0-S) to Recreation Commercial (R-C) for property generally located on the north side of future Cannon Road immediately adjacent to the Aqua Hedionda Lagoon wetland area within the Kelly Ranch Master Plan as shown on the map marked Exhibit A, dated August 22, 1984 attached hereto and made a part hereof.
