Conduct daily audits of landscape irrigation systems to maxi1 irrigation efficiency; adjust sprinklers and irrigation system: avoid overspray, runoff and waste; i 1 b. Not irrigate its landscape during the hot hours of the day a: during the morning and evening peak hours, and avoid wate on windy days; c. Use water recycling systems in decorative fountains; d. Not hose down driveways, sidewalks and other paved surfacc except for health or sanitary reasons; e. Use low-flow devices in plumbing fixtures except for those fi that require high-flow fixtures for health and/or sanitary re. f. Check faucets, toilets, and pipes, both indoor and outdoor, leaks and repair them immediately; 9. Utilize soil moisture sensing devices to maximize irrigation ef and avoid waste; h. Sow drought-tolerant plants in new areas of landscape. 28 //I/ 11 1 0 0 1 I1 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, the City of Carlsbad urges its cus 211 to: 3 run-off and waste; 4 a, Adjust sprinklers and irrigation systems to avoid overspray, 5 6 6. Avoid watering in the hot part of the day and/or during morning and evening peak hours, and avoid watering on 7 windy days; 8 c. install new landscaping, low-water-using trees and plants 9 and efficient irrigation systems; 10 11 d. Shut off decorative fountains unless a water recycling system is used; 12 e. Not hose down driveways, sidewalks and other paved 13 to evaporation; 15 f. Install pool and spa covers to minimize water loss due 14 surfaces, except for health or sanitary reasons; 16 17 18 19 1 :: I g. Not allow the hose to run while washing the car, and to use a bucket or a hose with an automatic cut off valve; h. Retrofit indoor plumbing fixtures with low flow devices; i.
