A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, INCREASING COMPENSATION
FOR CITY OF CARLSBAD PLANNING COMMISSIONERS
WHEREAS, it is necessary for members of the P1 anning
Commission to devote a considerable amount of time in the
performance of this public service, in order to effectively carry

out the duties of their office; and
WHEREAS, due to the increasing complexity of planning issues

in Carlsbad, it has become necessary for the Planning Commissioners
to expend a steadily increasing amount of time in carrying out their
duties and responsi bi 1 it i es ; and
WHEREAS, even though it is impossible to adequately compensate
those individuals who serve as members of the Planning Commission,
the City of Carl sbad knows it is most fortunate to have such capable
and responsible individuals serving the public in this capacity; and
WHEREAS, the remuneration paid to the Planning Commissioners
has not been reviewed since 1984;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
Ii of Carl sbad as follows: 20 I; 11 1. That the above recitations are true and correct. 21 I I
23 22 I 2. That the compensation for Planning Commissioners be
established at $100 per meeting, not to exceed $200 per month,
24 11 11 effective January 1, 1990.
