RESOLUTION NO. 90-111
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, EXPRESSING ITS INTENT TO INITIATE PROCEEDINGS PURSUANT
TO CHAPTER 11.08 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
CODE AND CALLING A PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE WHETHER THE PUBLIC HEALTH, SAFETY, OR WELFARE REQUIRE THE FORMATION OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DISTRICT ON PORTIONS
OF STATE STREET AND LAGUNA DRIVE
WHEREAS, Chapter 11.08 of the Carlsbad Municipa
provides for the formation in the Cit.y of Carlsbad of under
utility districts to accomplish the orderly removal of ex
overhead facilities and the construction of new under
facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City staff has consulted with the af
utilities and has conducted preliminary studies and
investigations concerning the feasibility of such a district
area generally on State Street fro:m Beech Avenue to Ca
Boulevard and Laguna Drive from State Street to Jefferson S
WHEREAS, said studies and investigations indicat
further proceedings pursuant to Chapter 11.08 are warrani
determine whether or not the district should be established
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
