91-63 RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURSUE TRANSPORTATION
DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) FUNDING FROM SANDAG FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF TWO BICYCLE LANES ON PALOMAR AIRPORT
ROAD FROM EL CAMINO REAL TO THE EASTERLY CITY LIMIT.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has designated Palomar Airport Road as a bicyck
the Circulation Element of the General Plan; and
WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has solicited 6
projects for the seven-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the Palomar Airport Road has been included on the seven-year
Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the interim widening of Palomar Airport Road from El Camino Re
easterly City limit will include bicycle lanes; and
WHEREAS, funds have been established and are available through SANDAG
governments for construction of bicycle lanes;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, C
as follows:

That the above recitations are true and correct.
That City Council of the City of Carlsbad authorizes the submittal of an a]
to the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) for the construction of bicycle
Palomar Airport Road from El Camino Real to the easterly City limit.

empowered to execute in the name of the City of Carlsbad all necessary applications to i
and carry out the purposes specified in this resolution.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Coi
on the 19th day of February, 1991 by the following vote, to wit:
