RESOLUTION NO. .92-58
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA APPROVING THE 1992 CITY OF
CARLSBAD TRAFFIC SIGNAL EVALUATION POLICY.
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad recognizes the need for the installation of tr;
signals at various intersections to promote the safe and efficient movement of people ,
goods; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad recognizes the need for an objective polic)
determine when and where traffic signals will be installed in the future; and
WHEREAS, maintaining an up-to-date qualification list of warranted traffic signals
assist staff when reviewing future Capital Improvement Programs (C.I.P.) or developer proj
to determine the need and schedule of the traffic signal installation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsl
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad hereby adopts the procedures anc
updated Traffic Signal Qualification List as contained in the 1992 Traffic Signal Evalui
Policy.

3. The Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorize1
periodically update the Traffic Signal Qualification List as contained in the Traffic Si!
Evaluation Policy and present such updated list to the Traffic Safety Commission and
Council for review and approval.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Col
held on the 18th day of February, 1992 by the following vote, to wit:
