A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBA
CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING STAFF TO PURSUE TRANSPORTATIC
DEVELOPMENT ACT FDA) FUNDING FROM SANDAG FOR CONSTRUCTIC
OF SIDEWALKS IN VARIOUS LOCATIONS THROUGHOUT CARLSBAD
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad has determined that sidewalks shall be part o
6 improvements as indicated in the Circulation Element of the General Plan; and

WHEREAS, the San Diego Association of Governments (SANDAG) has solicited
projects for the seven-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, the construction of sidewalk improvements in Carlsbad has been in

the seven-year Regional Transportation Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, in 1991, the City of Carlsbad completed a Sidewalk Inventoq 12

prioritizing construction of sidewalks throughout the city (list attached) and
WHEREAS, funds have been established and are available through SANDA
15 governments for construction of sidewalks;
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
