CITY COUNCIL RESOLUTION NO. 93-304
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA TO APPROVE THE DESIGN AND
SITE PLANS FOR THE CARLSBAD VILLAGE TRANSIT
STATION.

6 WHEREAS, the City Council, at their meeting on February 2
7 approved an agreement with the North County Transit District, hereinafter re
8 as "NCTD", and the County of San Diego, hereinafter referred to as "COUI
9 construction and operation of a Commuter RaiVTransit Station on the nortl
lo I/ Grand Avenue between State Street and Washington Street, and

WHEREAS, the City Council has agreed to participate as a memk
13 ll project team and review and take action to approve/disapprove the fin:

WHEREAS, NCTD and the COUNTY, have in good faith made 15
drawings and site plan(s); and
to respond to all comments on the final design drawings and site plan(s) pro l6

19 I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Cour

21 11 A) That the above recitations are true and correct.

B) That based on the information presented at the Council meeting of Oc.
1993 and agreements made with City staff for revisions/correctior
drawings/plans, the City Council hereby APPROVES the final design
and site plan(s) for the new Village Transit Station based on the
findings and subject to the following conditions. .... ....

1. Approval of the Village Transit Station Design and Site Plan(s) is grant1 l3

5. NCTD shall enhance the landscaping along Washington Street,
satisfaction of the Housing and Redevelopment Director and/or the
Director, to provide greater protection to the residences from any (
noise impact associated with the Transit Station.
6. NCTDKounty shall work with the Engineering Department to redesi!
improvements on Washington Street to save as many Eucalyptus
possible.
7. NCTDKounty shall work with the City to provide an appropriately-si;

railroad right-of-way.
8. On behalf of NCTD and the City, SANDAG shall conduct a comn
parking lot study a minimum of once a year. A copy of the stud!

three (3) consecutive days, NCTD will immediately initiate procedures
