A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING SUPPORT OF A
HOMELESS PREVENTION PROGRAM PROPOSED BY THE CITY
OF OCEANSIDE AND AUTHORIZING THE HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE DOCUMENTS
NECESSARY FOR OCEANSIDE’S APPLICATION FOR THE
FEDERAL EMERGENCY SHELTER GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the Homeless Prevention Program
proposed by the City of Oceanside; and

LO WHEREAS, the City of Oceanside is submitting an application to the State :
11 funding through the Federal Emergency Shelter Grant program to provide the Homell
12 Prevention Program on a year round basis to eligible North County residents
l3 Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad, Encinitas, and the County of San Diego; and

WHEREAS, the City of Oceanside is requesting support of the Home11
Prevention Program and approval of the participation of Carlsbad residents in
Homeless Prevention Program, as required by the Federal Emergency Shelter Gr

18 funding application;
19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, by the City Council
2o 1 the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council supports the Homeless Prevention Program ~
approves participation of Carlsbad residents in this Program.
3. That the City Council authorizes the Housing and Redevelopment Dira
to execute documents necessary for the City of Oceanside’s applicatiol
the State for Federal Emergency Shelter Grant funding to provid
Homeless Prevention Program to eligible residents of San Diego Nc
County Coastal communities.
