RESOLUTION NO. 96 - 51
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE CARLSBAD DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS
ENTERPRISE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Federal Department of Transportation, under the Code of
Regulations, Title 49, Part 23, requires each local government entity receiving
Transportation Funds to implement a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program; an
WHEREAS, the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program must be include(
local government contracts which are wholly or partially funded with Federal Trans[
Funds and require the inclusion of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program provisio
contract; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program was pre-ai
by the Federal Department of Transportation; and
WHEREAS, by approving this resolution, the City of Carlsbad desires to use the
federally approved Disadvantaged Business Enterprise Program for use on any
transportation funded contracts that may require Disadvantaged Business Enterprise P
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ADOPTED that the City Council of
of Carlsbad, California, does hereby adopt the Carlsbad Disadvantaged Business En
Program.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED AND ADOPTED that the City Engineer or des
designated as the Clty of Carlsbad’s Minority Business Enterprise Liaison in accordance
Code of Federal Regulations, Title 49, Part 23.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City
held onthe 6th dayof FEBRUARY , 1996 by the following vote, to wit:
