RESOLUTION NO. 97-49
ARESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING
DONATIONS OF MERCHANDISE AND FINANCIAL
CONTRIBUTIONS VALUING A TOTAL OF THREE
THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS ($3,400) IN
SUPPORT OF THE YOUTH BASKEXBALL PROGRAM
AND THE YOUTH BASEBALL CLINIC.
WHEREAS, the annual Youth Baseball Clinic was held the wee'
of January 6,1997 and the Youth Basketball Program began in Decembel
1996 and runs through March, 1997; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has receivec
donations of goods and money totaling $3,400, a copy of which is attachec
hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission ha
recommended acceptance of these donations by the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept these donations an(
acknowledge the generosity and support of community vendors an(
organizations who donated to this special event.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of th'
City of Carlsbad the following:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council does hereby accept the merchandise an(
financial support totaling three thousand four hundred dollars ($3,400).
