RESOLUTION NO. 98-171
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING BIDS AND
FOR THE FIRE STATION NO. 3 RENOVATION.
AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF CONTRACT NO. FAC98-9
WHEREAS, bids have been received by the City of Carlsbad, California for
Station No. 3 Renovation in accordance with Contract No. FAC98-9; and
WHEREAS, the lowest responsive bid received for this project was subrr
Wharton General Contractors in the amount of $24,732; and
WHEREAS, the total cost of this project is $31,000, including contingency funds
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Capital Improvement Progra
Mandate - City Facilities project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Car
follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. The bid of $24,732 by Wharton General Contractors Co. for the Fire Static
Renovation, Contract No. FAC98-9 is hereby accepted and the Purchasing C
hereby authorized to execute a purchase order for this project.
3. The Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to e>
contract for and on behalf of the City of Carlsbad.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Carlsh
regular meeting held on the 9th day of June , 1998, by the following vote,
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Finnila, Nygaard, Kulchin and al. 25
NOES: None
