2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF

AVIARA PARKWAY AND POINSETTIA LANE TRAFFIC SIGNAL,
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE 4
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
5 PROJECT NO. 3588.
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determine
7 necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct a traffic signal at the intersectio
8 Aviara Parkway and Poinsettia Lane; and
9 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing of all labor, material, to
equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental of said project have b
prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and
incorporated by reference herein; and

12 WHEREAS, funding from Public Facilities Construction (PFF) includes sufficient fund
l3 construct this project and said project is included in the 1998199 Capital Improvement Program
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsb
15 California, as follows:
16 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

1 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to pub

in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of
Aviara Parkway and Poinsettia Lane traffic signal, Project No. 3588, in accordance with
plans, specifications, and contract documents referred to herein. 4
5 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City COL
6 held on the 18 thday of May , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
7 AYES: Council Members Lewis, Nygaard, Finnila, Kulchin & Hall
