RESOLUTION NO. 99-333
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, RATIFYING THE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY AND
VELAZQUEZ FAMILY COUNSELING SERVICES TO PROVIDE THE
G.U.I.D.E. PROGRAM FOR THE CARLSBAD POLICE DEPARTMENT
5 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, has been contracting G.
6 counseling services for students attending schools in Carlsbad since 1984; and
7 WHEREAS, Velazquez Family Counseling Services has been satisfactorily providin!

services since 1984; and

WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad desires to provide continued G.U.I.D.E. counseling ser
students attending schools in Carlsbad; and
WHEREAS, Velazquez Family Counseling Services is capable and prepared to provid,
continued G.U.I.D.E. counseling services;

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad does hereby resolve as follow
1. To enter into an agreement with Velazquez Family Counseling Services to provide G.
counseling services for students attending schools in Carlsbad for a period of one ye

mer , 1999, by the following vote to wit: 19
agreement for and on behalf of the City of Carlsbad, California on the 21 st day of - 18
2. That the Mayor of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to exes
the date of agreement. The contract may be extended by the City Manger for five ac
one-year periods or parts thereof, based upon the City's needs.
