RESOLUTION NO. 99-505
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING PLANS AND
SPECIFICATIONS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO
ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE
CARLSBAD VILLAGE DRIVE AND VALLEY STREET SIGNAL,
PROJECT NO. 3620.
6 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California has determine1

necessary, desirable, and in the public interest to construct a traffic signal at the intersectiol
Carlsbad Village Drive and Valley Street; and
9 WHEREAS, the plans and specifications for furnishing all labor, material, to(
equipment, transportation and other expenses necessary or incidental of said project have bf
prepared and are on file in the Engineering Department of the City of Carlsbad and

I I I I incorporated by reference herein; and
12 WHEREAS, said project is included in the 1998199 Capital Improvement Program; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $37,700 are required to cover the cos 13
l4 the project; and
15 WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $37,700 are available in the Genc
16 Capital Construction Fund (GCC).
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsb
18 California, as follows:
19 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the plans, specifications, and contract documents as presented are hen 20
approved.
21 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby authorized and directed to publi

23 Carlsbad Village Drive and Valley Street traffic signal, Project No. 3620, in accordance with q
in accordance with State law, a Notice to Contractors Inviting Bids for the construction of

1 4. The Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $37,700 from

General Capital Construction Fund (GCC) to the traffic signal project account.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Cot 4
held on the 7th day of DECEMBER , 1999 by the following vote, to wit:
