RESOLUTION NO. 99-53
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE RESCHEDULING OF THE STREET TREE POLICY COMMITTEE FINAL REPORTING DATE TO JANUARY
25.2000
WHEREAS, on November 2, 1999, the City Council appointed a 15 member Cit
Committee to study the City’s Tree Policy; and
WHEREAS, Council directed the Committee to consider all relevant issues in formu
its recommendations to the City Council including but not limited to, aesthetics, neighbol
compatibility and preferences, safety, liability, environmental impacts, and to considt
applicable laws, including but not limited to Americans with Disabilities Act, Clean Water Ac
the like; and
WHEREAS, the Committee was given until December 15, 1999 to make its report t’
City Council unless at the request of the Committee it is impractical to do so and Counci
determined a different date; and
WHEREAS, the Committee has made progress in formulating its recommendatic
Council by the December 15‘h deadline, but feels more time is needed to thoroughly com
the report; and
WHEREAS, on behalf of the Street Tree Policy Committee, the Committee’s Chairpe
is requesting the City Council to reschedule the final reporting date to January 25, 2000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Carlsba
follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That Resolution No. 99-484 is hereby amended by extending the final reporting
from December 15, 1999 to January 25,2000.
3. Except as amended above, all other terms and conditions of Resolution No. 99
remain in full force and effect.
