RESOLUTION NO. 2o01-340
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING SPECIFIC PROJECTS
FOR FUNDING UNDER THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE LOCAL
LAW ENFORCEMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDING
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad held a public hearing on
November 13 ,200l to accept comments on the proposed projects recommended by staff and
Advisory Board for funding consideration under the US Department of Justice Assistance Fiscal
Year 2001 Local Law Enforcement Block Grants Program; and
WHEREAS, the City Council selected projects and funding allocations following the public
hearing on November 13 ,200l; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has taken all public testimony and comments into account.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the projects selected at the City Council meeting of November 13 ,2001,
are hereby approved at the indicated funding levels for inclusion in Carlsbad’s Department of
Justice Local Law Enforcement Block Grant Program;
3. That the Police Chief is authorized to execute all appropriate agreements with the US
Department of Justice for receipt of the subject block grant funds, as well as any required reports
and/or final statements; and

2 4. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate $78,421 for program expenses
3 including interest earned and a cash match of $7,492 from the police asset forfeiture fund.
4 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Carlsbad City Council
5 held on the 13th day of NOVEMBER , 2001 by the following vote, to
6 wit:
