RESOLUTION NO. 2002-071
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING A NEGATIVE
DECLARATION FOR A GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT TO
CHANGE THE LAND USE DESIGNATION ON 15 SITES
LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE CITY.
CASE NAME: SHOPPING CENTER REDESIGNATIONS
CASE NO.: GPA 01-06
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code, the Planning
Commission did, on December 5, 2001, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law
to consider a Negative Declaration for a General Plan Amendment, and unanimously
recommended its approval: and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, on the 5th day of March,
2002, held a duly noticed public hearing to consider the negative Declaration for the General
Plan Amendment and at that time received recommendations, objections, protests, comments
of all persons interested in or opposed to the Negative Declaration;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does
hereby resolve as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct
2. That the City Council adopts the Negative Declaration for GPA 01-06) as shown in
by reference and that the findings of the Planning Commission are the findings of the City
Planning Commission Resolution No. 5104, on file with the City Clerk and incorporated herein
Council.
EFFECTIVE DATE: "This resolution shall be effective upon its adoption, except
for the General Plan Amendment which shall be effective 30 days following its adoption."

PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City 01
Carlsbad on the 5" day of March, 2002, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Finnila, Nygaard and Hall.
