A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
3 CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CARLSBAD BEACH PRESERVATION
COMMITTEE TO APPLY FOR AGRICULTURE CONVERSION
4 MITIGATION FUNDS FOR A BEACH NOURISHMENT PROJECT.
5 WHEREAS, the City Council has appointed the Agriculture Conversion Mitigation Fund
6 Citizen Committee to evaluate and recommend projects for funding from the Agriculture
7 Conversion Mitigation Fund; and
8 WHEREAS, The City of Carlsbad recently published a solicitation for projects which have
9 the potential to be funded using Agriculture Conversion Mitigation Funds; and
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Beach Preservation Committee is interested in submitting an
application for Agriculture Conversion Mitigation Funds for the implementation of a local beach
nourishment project; and
13 WHEREAS, the City Council finds it in the interest of the public to support the application
of funding for this project.
15 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California as follows:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
1 fl 2. The Carlsbad Beach Preservation Committee is hereby authorized to submit an
19 application to the Agriculture Conversion Mitigation Fund Committee for Agriculture Conversion
pn Mitigation Funds for a local beach nourishment project.
