1 RESOLUTION NO. 2007-013
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION OF
3 $20,000 TO THE CARLSBAD CITY LIBRARY AND
4 APPROPRIATING THE DONATION TO THE LIBRARY GIFTS
AND BEQUESTS ACCOUNT

6 WHEREAS, George and Patricia Gowland have donated $20,000 to the
7 Carlsbad City Library for the expansion of the collection; and
WHEREAS, The City Council wishes to accept this gift;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of

Carlsbad, California, as follows:
10 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
11 2. That the City Council accepts the gift of $20,000 from George and Patricia
12 Gowland on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad, and hereby appropriates
these funds to the Library gifts and bequests account.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 23rd day of January, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall, Packard, Sigafoose.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Kulchin.
