2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
3 ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
4 $10,000 FROM MRS. THERESA M. CANNON AND
APPROPRIATION OF FUNDS

6 WHEREAS, Mrs. Teresa M. Cannon has generously donated $10,000 to be used
1 for the Three-Part-Art Program of the William D. Cannon Art Gallery; and
8 WHEREAS, this funding will support the educational outreach program designed
9
for third- and fourth-graders from Carlsbad to experience interacting with and learning
10 from original works of art in a museum setting.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
12
Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
15 2. That the donation from Mrs. Theresa M. Cannon in the amount of $10,000
16 is hereby accepted.
17 3. That the Finance Director is hereby authorized to appropriate $10,000 into
18 the Arts Education General Fund org key, #0014067.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of February, 2007, by the following vote:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Sigafoose.
