2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
3 ACCEPTANCE OF A DONATION IN THE AMOUNT OF
4 $29.000 FROM THE CARLSBAD FRIENDS OF THE ARTS
5 WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts has generously donated $29,000
6
for various Cultural Arts Office programs.

WHEREAS, this donation will provide: $18,000 for support services such as8
shuttle buses, porta-toilets and supplies at the TGIF Jazz concerts; $7,500 for materials
10 and art supplies for the Three-Part-Art education program; and $3,500 for an exhibition
11 catalogue for the "2007 Cannon Invitational" at the William D. Cannon Art Gallery.
12 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
13 Carlsbad, California, as follows:
14 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the donation from the Carlsbad Friends of the Arts in the amount of
16
$29,000 is hereby accepted.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 19th day of June, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Hall and Packard
