2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING THE SALARY OF
3 THE CITY MANAGER

5 WHEREAS, the City Council determines based on the Letter of Understanding
6 dated November 21, 1996 and subsequently amended, that it is necessary and
7 appropriate to adjust the compensation of the City Manager,
8 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
9 Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.

2. That the salary of the City Manager shall be adjusted by 5.3% effective
1 JL*
13 January 1, 2007.
14 3. That the Finance Director is directed to transfer the necessary funds from
15 the General Fund balance to the City Manager's budget to support the costs of this
16 amendment.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 10th day of July, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
