2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE SEWER
3 SYSTEM MANAGEMENT PLAN (SSMP) DEVELOPMENT
4 PLAN AND SCHEDULE

WHEREAS, the State Water Resources Control Board has issued Order No.
6
2006-03-DWQ pertaining to Waste Discharge Requirements for Sanitary Sewer
7
Systems; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad operates a sanitary sewer system that is subject
10 to Order No. 2006-03-DWQ; and
11 WHEREAS; Order No. 2006-03-DWQ mandates that the governing board of the
12 affected sanitary sewer system, provide approval of a Development Plan and Schedule
for the Sewer System Management Plan; and

WHEREAS, the Development Plan and Schedule has been submitted for
governing board review prior to the milestone date.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
17
Carlsbad, California, as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
20 2. That said Sewer System Management Plan Development Plan and
21 Schedule, which is on file with the City Clerk and is incorporated herein by reference, is
22 accepted.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 6th day of November, 2007, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
