CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING CONTRACT
DOCUMENTS, SPECIAL PROVISIONS AND SPECIFICATIONS,
AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY CLERK TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS
TO PERFORM THE SUMMER 2008 CONCRETE REPAIRS - AL-1,
PROJECT NO. 6021, CONTRACT NO. STS 08-02 AND
WHEREAS, the contract documents, special provisions and specifications for the
furnishing of all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform the Summer 2008 Concrete
Repairs - AL-1, Project No. 6021, Contract No. STS 08-02, have been prepared and are on file in
the Public Works/General Services office and are incorporated by reference herein; and
WHEREAS, additional funds in the amount of $350,000 are needed to complete the
project; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available for this project in the Gas Tax Fund.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the contract documents, special provisions, and specifications are on file in the
Public Works/General Services office are hereby approved.
3. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate an additional $350,000 from
the Gas Tax Fund to Project No. 6021 (Summer 2008 Concrete Repairs).
4. That the City Clerk is authorized to advertise for bids to perform Summer
2008 Concrete Repairs - AL-1, Project No. 6021, Contract No. STS 08-01.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 8th of April, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
