CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE WORK AS3 COMPLETE AND DIRECTING THE RECORDATION OF THE

NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR TRAFFIC SIGNAL UPS AND
BATTERY BACKUP INSTALLATION. PROJECT NO. PWGS316R.
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2007-253 approving contract
documents, special provisions and specifications, and authorized the City Clerk to advertise for
bids to perform Contract No. PWGS316R, Traffic Signal UPS and Battery Backup Installation,
o hereinafter referred to as the "Project"; and

WHEREAS, the City Council has previously awarded a contract for the Project; and
WHEREAS, the Project work has been satisfactorily completed; and
WHEREAS, a Notice of Completion has been prepared for the Project; and
12 WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds it necessary, desirable, and in the public interest
13 to accept the completed work to perform Contract No. PWGS316R, Traffic Signal UPS and Battery
14 Backup Installation.
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
16 California, as follows:
17 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
18 2. That the completed work is hereby accepted and the City Clerk is directed to record
19 the Notice of Completion and to release bonds in accordance with State Law and City Ordinances.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 16th day of September, 2008, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Nygaard.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
