2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM
3 THE CALIFORNIA COASTAL ROSE SOCIETY OF
VOLUNTEER HOURS AND CONTRIBUTIONS

5 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department is committed to
6 building strong community service organization such as the California Coastal Rose Society, and
7 WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Parks and Recreation Department wishes to
8 acknowledge the talented volunteers from the California Coastal Rose Society, and
WHEREAS, the Parks and Recreation Commission has unanimously recommended that
10 the City Council accept a donation of in kind volunteer hours and contributions from the California
Coastal Rose Society at Magee Park, during calendar year 2008, and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to accept this donation, with an estimated value of
13 $2,950.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
California, as follows:
1 fi 1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
17 2. That the City Council accepts this donation of in-kind volunteer hours and
18 contributions from the California Coastal Rose Society at Magee Park, during calendar year 2008,
19 on behalf of all citizens of Carlsbad.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 21st day of April, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall, Packard and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
