2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM
3 THE CITY COUNCIL CONTINGENCY ACCOUNT TO FUND THE
COST OF STRIPING ANGLE PARKING ON A PORTION OF
4 GRAND AVENUE.

WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that angle parking shall be provided on a
6
portion of Grand Avenue from westerly of Roosevelt Street to Home Avenue to increase the
7
number of on-street parking spaces; and
8
WHEREAS, the City Council directed that striping modifications be made to a portion of
9
Grand Avenue from westerly of Roosevelt Street to Home Avenue to provide angle parking.
10
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
11
California, as follows:12
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.IO
14 2. That the Finance Director is authorized to appropriate $8,500 from City Council
15 Contingency to pay for the installation of angle parking on a portion of Grand
1g Avenue.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad on the 12th day of May, 2009, by the following vote to wit:
AYES: Council Members Lewis, Kulchin, Hall and Blackburn.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: Council Member Packard.
