1 RESOLUTION NO. 2012-052
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, ACCEPTING THE FUNDING
^ RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE COMMUNITY ACTIVITY
4 GRANT CITIZEN REVIEW COMMITTEE AND APPROVING
DISBURSEMENT OF FUNDS TO THE IDENTIFIED
5 ORGANIZATIONS.
6 ..
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, appointed a

seven-member Citizen Review Committee to review Community Activity Grant
g applications and to make funding recommendations; and,
WHEREAS, the Citizen Review Committee has recommended six (6)
11 organizations and the associated funding amounts, as set forth in Exhibit 3 and
12 attached for reference purposes.
1^ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad, California, as follows that:
1. The above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the following organizations are hereby granted funds in the amounts
shown from the Community Activity Grants Fund for Fiscal Year 2011-12
19 in accordance with Council Policy No. 51
20 Assistance League of North Coast $5,000
21 Assistance League of San Dieguito $7,000
22 Carlsbad Educational Foundation $5,000
Carlsbad Explorer Post 781, Inc. $10,000
Carlsbad Sister Cities Ambassadors $1,680
Phoenix House San Diego, Inc. $6,460
