2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD ACCEPTING THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
^ 2012-2016 PRESERVE MANAGEMENT PLAN FOR THE
. MAINTENANCE, MANAGEMENT, AND MONITORING OF
CITY-OWNED HABITAT MANAGEMENT PLAN PRESERVE
5 LANDS
6 WHEREAS, the Habitat Management Plan (HMP), Open Space Management
7 Plan (OSMP), and the City HMP Ordinance (Chapter 21.210 of the city's Zoning
8 Ordinance) require the preparation of a Preserve Management Plan (PMP) for all HMP
9 preserve lands; and
10 WHEREAS, the City of Carisbad owns approximately 600 acres of HMP preserve
11 lands; and
12 WHEREAS, the Center for Natural Lands Management has prepared the City of
13 Carisbad 2012-2016 PMP for the maintenance, management, and monitoring of city
14 owned HMP preserve lands.
15 WHEREAS, the City Council determines it is in the best interest of the city to
16 approve the 2012-2016 PMP.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
18 Carisbad, California as follows:

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the City Council accepts the report entitled "City of Carisbad Presen/es,
2012-2016 Presen/e Management Plan", dated September 2011, on file in the
office of the City Clerk.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting ofthe City Council
of the City of Carisbad on the 8^^ day of May, 2012, by the following vote to wit:

Council Members Kulchin, Blackburn, Douglas and Packard.
None.
