^ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
4 CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZATION OF THE SETTLEMENT OF WORKERS'
COMPENSATION CLAIM OF NICHOLAS LUTES

^ WHEREAS, Keenan & Associates, the City's Third Party Administrator, has recommended

a settlement ofthe Workers' Compensation claim of Nicholas Lutes; and
WHEREAS, all parties have agreed to settle this claim before the Workers' Compensation
9
Appeals Board.
11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
12 California, as follows:

17 3. That the City Council approves the Stipulations with Request for Award on file in the
Human Resources Department.

1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That the expenditure of $57,500 from the Workers' Compensation self-insurance
fund is authori2ed forthe settlement of said claim.
