3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
CALIFORNIA,APPROVING THE PURCHASE OF EXCESS LIABILITY
4 COVERAGE THROUGH COUNTY SUPERVISORS ASSOCIATION OF
CALIFORNIA DBA CALIFORNIA STATE ASSOCIATION OF COUNTIES
5 EXCESS INSURANCE AUTHORITY (CSAC EIA)FOR FISCAL YEAR
2016/17 IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $394,000

WHEREAS,the City desires to purchase excess liability coverage through County
8
Supervisors Association of California dba California State Association of Counties Excess
9
10 Insurance Authority (CSAC EIA); and
11 WHEREAS,Alliant Insurance Services has negotiated the purchase of excess liability
12 coverage through CSAC EIA for the next fiscal year beginning on July 1,2016 and concluding on
13 June 30, 2017 for an annual premium in an amount not to exceed $394,000; and

NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad,
15
California,as follows that:

17 1.The above recitations are true and correct.
18 2.That the purchase of excess liability coverage through the CSAC EIA,effective
19 July 1,2016 to June 30, 2017,is hereby approved and the Administrative Services
20 Director is authorized to issue a warrant in the amount of $394,000 for the payment
21
of the premium to CSAC EIA.

1 PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council of the City
2 of Carlsbad on the 28th day of June, 2016, by the following vote to wit:
