A RE6OLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND RE!DEVE!LOPME!NT COMM! OF THE; CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING THE OPERATING BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR 1988-89 FOR THE H(
AUTHORITY - SECTION 8 CERTIFICATE PROGRAM.
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission (
City of Carlsbad, has reviewed the operating budget of 1
Housing Authority Section 8 Certificate Program for Fisc
Year 1988-89.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and
Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, Califc
as follows:
1. That the operating budget of the Housing Authority
Section 8 Certificate Program in the amount of $1,411,5.
attached hereto and identified as Exhibit A is hereby ac
as the operating budget for Fiscal Year 1988-89.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting (
Housing and Redevelopment Commission of the City of Car:
California, on the 21st day of June, 1988, by the follol
vote, to wit:

WORK PROGRAM;
Provide access for very low income persons in the elderly, handicapped and
disabled, and family categories to decent, safe and sanitary housing within
affordable rental range.
PROGRAM ACTIVITIES :
Intake: Take applications for waiting lists to qualify for Housing Certifi
or vouchers. (20% of time)
uspctim: To make sure that the housing used meets EIUD housing quality
standards for tenants. (15% of time)
Certification: Process the waiting list to keep the certificates and voucf
95%+ leased-up. (25% of time)
Recertification: Continuous annual processing of existing tenarlts to insul their compliance with ‘the program. (40% of time)
SIGNIFICANT CHANGES:
Rental Assistance Payments have increased by $158,000 based UPOR Fair ?.lark
Rents for 1988 and annual percentage increases.
