RESOLUTION NO. 229
RESOLUTION OF THE CARLSBAD HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION APPROVING THE
ISSUANCE BY THE CARLSBAD HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF NOT TO EXCEED
$17,000,000 PRINCIPAL AMOUNT OF 1993 TAX
ALLOCATION BONDS RELATING TO THE VILLAGE
REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Housing and Redevelopment Commissior
(the "Commission") is undertaking the redevelopment of the Village Projec
in the City of Carlsbad (the "Redevelopment Project"), and for such purposc
the Commission has previously issued its Village Redevelopment Project Are;
Tax Allocation Bonds, Series A, in the aggregate principal amount o
$12,000,000 (the "1988 Bonds"); and
WHEREAS, the Commission has determined that it is in thc
financial interests of the Commission at this time to advance refund the 1981
Bonds, and in order to provide for such refunding and to provide additiona
funding for the Redevelopment Project, the Commission proposes tc
authorize the issuance of its Carlsbad Housing and Redevelopmen
Commission Village Redevelopment Project 1993 Tax Allocation Bonds (thl
"Bonds") under the provisions of the California Community Redevelopmen
Law, the principal of and interest on which will be payable from ta:
increment revenues derived from the Redevelopment Project; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the requirements of Section 3364r
of the California Health and Safety Code, the Commission wishes at this tim
to approve the issuance and sale of the Bonds by the Commission.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Carlsbad Housinz
and Redevelopment Commission that the issuance and sale of the Bonds bl

Carlsbad Housing and Redevelopment Commission on the 13th day of JULY
