HOUSING & REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA
TO APPROVE THE APPROPRIATION OF $2,000,000 FROM
THE REDEVELOPMENT LOW AND MODERATE INCOME
REAL PROPERTY AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS FORTHE
PURPOSE OF DEVELOPING AFFORDABLE HOUSING
RENTAL UNITS OUTSIDE THE VILLAGE REDEVELOPMENT
HOUSING SET-ASIDE FUND FOR THE ACQUISITION OF
AREA
WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of
hereinafter referred to as "Agency", is a Community Redevelopment Agencj
and existing under the Community Redevelopment Law, Health and Sa

WHEREAS, the Agency is authorized to implement the Rede
Plan for the Carlsbad Village Redevelopment Project Area; and
WHEREAS, Section 33334.2 of the Act requires that not
twenty percent (20%) of all taxes which are allocated to the Agency for p
increasing and improving the community's supply of low and modera
housing; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 33334.2 of the Act, the I
declares its intent that the Low and Moderate Income Housing Set-aside Fu
used to improve and increase housing in the community; and

WHEREAS, to carry out the purposes of increasing and imp

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Ho

2. That the expenditures of monies from the Low and Modera
Housing Fund for the purposes of acquiring property and ca
rental units outside the Redevelopment Project Area, in which :
are generated, are and will be of benefit to the respective Pr
