374 RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE
THE HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR TO TRAVEL TO
WASHINGTON, D.C. TO ATTEND A POLICY FORUM ON INCLUSIONARY
HOUSING
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING OUT-OF-STATE TRAVEL FOR
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission is proud of the
success of the City of Carlsbad’s Inclusionary Housing Ordinance and wishes to share the
experiences and expertise of city staff with others interested in this tool for producing
affordable housing within a community; and
WHEREAS, the Urban Land Institute has invited Commission staff to attend a
policy forum in Washington, D.C to share its experience and expertise in the development
and implementation of an Inclusionary Housing Program; and
WHEREAS, funds are available in the FY 2003-2004 Housing and
Redevelopment budget for the subject out-of-state travel.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
1. That the above recitations are true and correct.
2. That out-of-state travel is hereby authorized for the Housing and
Redevelopment Director to attend a policy forum on Inclusionary Housing to
be held in Washington, D.C. November 18 and 19,2003.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Housing
and Redevelopment Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 4th
dayof November ,2003 by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Commissioners Lewis, Finnila, Kulchin, Hall and Packard
