2 A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING AND
REDEVELOPMENT COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF
3 CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING APPOINTMENT
OF A CITIZENS' ADVISORY SUB-COMMITTEE TO
4 EVALUATE PROPOSALS TO CREATE A VILLAGE
REVITALIZATION PARTNERSHIP PROGRAM
6 WHEREAS, At its special meeting on, March 15, 2011, the City Council
7 discussed one of its priorities to partner with local property owners, businesses and/or
8 other stakeholders in the Village Area to develop a program, policies, financing
9 mechanisms or other initiatives to spur local investment and foot traffic on a self-
sustaining basis for the Village Area; and
WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission has requested that
Commissioner Douglas participate with staff on a Citizens' Advisory Sub-Committee to
12 include three to five additional persons from the community to evaluate the proposals
13 received from a Request for Proposals process for this matter; and
14 WHEREAS, the Citizens' Advisory Sub-Committee will return with
recommendations to the full Commission on the costs, ways and means of
implementing the proposal.
16 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Housing and Redevelopment
17 Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows that:
18 1. The above recitations are true and correct.
19 2. That the following community members are appointed to the Citizens'
