HomeMy WebLinkAbout1999-05-13; Housing Commission; Resolution 99-0021 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 HOUSING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 99-002 A RESOLUTION OF THE HOUSING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF RENTAL ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATIVE PLAN TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT WHEREAS, the Housing and Redevelopment Commission ("Housing Agency") SUBMITTAL OF THE REVISED SECTION 8 TENANT-BASED administers the Section 8 Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Program; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires a Housing Agency to develop an Administrative Plan that establishes program policies for implementation that are consistent with HUD requirements and local objectives; and WHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) further requires that the Administrative Plan be revised to comply with changes in federal regulations; and WHEREAS, federal regulations provide that the Administrative Plan and any revisions of the plan must be adopted by the Board of Commissioners of the Housing Agency and submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, as follows: 1. The above recitations are true and correct. 2. That based on the information provided within the Housing Commission Staff Report and testimony presented during the public meeting of the Housing Commission on April 22, 1999, and on May 13, 1999, the Housing Commission ADOPTS Resolution No. 99-002, recommending to the Housing and Redevelopment Commission APPROVAL of submittal of the Revised Section 8 Tenant-Based Rental Assistance Administrative Plan to the U .S. The Housing Commission hereby recommends that the Housing and Redevelopment Director be authorized to execute all appropriate documents required for the submittal of said Administrathe Plan. PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED, at a mutar meeting of the Housing Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 23th day of May, 1999, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: None.
