WHEKEAS, the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad Municipal Water District has heretofore passed its Resolution No. 4 entitled; "Resolution of the Board of Directors of the Carlsbad hlunicipal Water District, a Municipal :?'ater District, Incorporated under the Municipal Xater District Act of 1911, As Amended, Callint, Givini, Notice and Proclamation of, and Providin, for the Holdinti of a Special Municipal Water Dis- trict Election Within the Corporate Area of said Carlsbad Municipal Water District, for the Purpose of Submitting to the Qualified Electors Thereof the Proposition of Annexing Such Corporate Area of Said Municipal Water Listrict to San Dieko County Qater Authority and to the Metropolitan Water Listrict of Southern California, Subject to the Terms and Conditions Fixed by the Board of Directors of San Uiego County Nater Authority and SuDject to the Terms and Conditions Fixed by the Board of Directors of The Metropolitan Water Dis- trict of Southern California, Establishing Special VotinC Precincts Therefor, besignatin& the €ollinL Places Thereof, Appointint the Board of Election for Each Voting Precinct, Fix- fnb the Compensation of Election Officers and Providinb for the Canvassing of Returns of Said Election;" ordering, calling, pro- vidint for and givinb notice of a special municipal water dis- trict election to be held in the Carlsbad Municipal ;Ilater Dis- trict on the 20th day of May, 1954 for the purpose of deter- mjning whether or not the corporate area of the Carlsbad Muni- cipal Water District shall be annexed to the San L'iebo County '/later Authority and The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California upon the terms and conditions fixed by the Board of Directors of the San Diet;o County Water Authority and the Board of Directors of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern Cal if'orni a, concurrently , and 'M-BM3AS, a form of notice of holdinb said special municipal water district election, entitled "Notice and Proclamation of Special Municipal Jater District Election to be Held Thursday, May 20, 1954", has been presented to the Board. of Directors, NOW, THEEcEFOfiL, on motion of Director Zahler, seconded by Director Hobers and unanimously carried, IT IS DETERKINEL, ANPl OftUEnEli that the form of notice of special municipal water district election submitted to the Board at this meetink be and the same is hereby approved, and the Secretary of the Dis- trict is hereby authorized and directed to cause a copy of said Notice to be published once at least ten days prior to said election, in The Carlsbad Journal, a newspaper of general circulation printed, published and circulated in the Carlsbad Municipal Water District.
